1. About These Terms

These SMS Terms describe how the Vertos AI platform handles text messages ("SMS") on behalf of our trade contractor clients (each, a "Client"), and your rights as a recipient of those messages. Use of the Vertos AI platform to send or receive SMS is also governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Vertos AI does not initiate SMS campaigns on its own behalf to consumers. When you receive a text message from a Vertos AI number, the sending party is the Client whose business you contacted (for example, through a lead form, a service site like Angi or Thumbtack, or the Client's own website). The Client is responsible for obtaining your consent before sending any message.

2. What SMS You May Receive

Depending on the Client you contacted and the consent you provided, SMS messages may include:

  • Lead response: an initial confirmation and qualification message within roughly 60 seconds of your lead submission
  • Scheduling: appointment requests, confirmations, and reminders
  • Service updates: technician arrival windows, job status, and follow-ups
  • Promotional messages: service offers, seasonal maintenance reminders, and other marketing, only if you explicitly opted in

3. Consent

By providing your phone number to a Vertos AI Client and affirmatively opting in (for example, by checking a consent box on the Client's lead form), you agree that:

  • You may receive recurring automated SMS messages from the Client, potentially using an automatic telephone dialing system
  • Message frequency varies, typically fewer than 10 messages per month for transactional responses, more if you opted in to promotional messaging
  • Message and data rates may apply; contact your mobile carrier for details
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services
  • You are the owner or authorized user of the phone number you provided

Vertos AI does not send SMS to a number unless the corresponding Client has obtained consent in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and applicable state laws. If you believe you are receiving messages without valid consent, contact us immediately (Section 7) and we will investigate.

4. How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any SMS, automatically processed and immediate
  • Reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT , also processed automatically
  • Email us at support@vertosai.com with your phone number and the business you wish to stop hearing from

After you opt out, we add your phone number to an internal suppression list and no further SMS from that Client's campaigns will be sent to you via the Vertos AI platform. Suppression is applied within seconds of the STOP response.

Opt-outs are permanent. If you want to start receiving messages from the same Client again, you must provide new express written consent to that Client directly.

5. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any SMS to receive an automated response with support information.

For questions about a specific message, who sent it, why you received it, or to request a copy of your consent record , email us at support@vertosai.com and include your phone number and the name of the business involved.

6. Carrier Disclosures

Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, and most other major U.S. mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Standard message and data rates apply. The exact charges depend on your mobile plan and carrier. If you have questions about charges, contact your carrier directly.

7. Privacy of Your Phone Number and Messages

Your phone number and the content of SMS exchanges are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In summary:

  • We do not sell your phone number or the content of your messages
  • Phone numbers and message content are shared only with Twilio (our SMS carrier) and the Client whose business you contacted
  • Message content may be processed by AI models (Anthropic) for qualification scoring; content is not used to train AI models
  • We retain SMS records for the duration of your relationship with the Client plus 60 days, unless a longer retention is required by law or by you providing new consent

See our Subprocessors page for the complete list of third parties that may process your data.

8. Complaints and Disputes

If you believe you are receiving SMS without valid consent, or you have opted out and continue to receive messages, we want to know immediately. Email support@vertosai.com with:

  • Your phone number
  • The approximate date and time of the message
  • The business name or phrasing from the message body, if available

We will investigate within five (5) business days and take corrective action, including removing your number from any applicable Client campaigns and, where appropriate, requiring the Client to provide proof of your original consent.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated on this page and, where practical, by SMS to active subscribers.
